Smearing the results

No sooner do I post on Greg Egan, and start ploughing through the books again, than he points out that Quarantine doesn't work. Well, it works as a book. Alain Robbe-Grillet is dead

Or is he? Is that baulstrade broken or not? Is the girl wearing a black or a white dress?

I'll write more about him soon. He was fantastic.

Ye Gods! Greg Egan

Gollancz has reissued eight Egan books. They look fab. I have in the past sent them up a bit, but, boy, what a lot of good work there is here. I'm going to go through them all now. The new one is out in May. It's called Incandescence.

charles fawcett/roy scheider

Haven't posted for a while. Sorry. Very busy. Will try to do better. Lots and lots of books to deal with.

Fawcett: an interesting dead dude here. about whom I write (or will write) here.

We all owe our our lives to people like that, who were engaged in a battle against the USSR. (For good or ill, some of you may say.)

I owe what I am in part to All That Jazz, Bob Fosse's film. Roy Scheider played the Fosse part. He's died, too. I'm awfully sorry about that.
