Wow, I hope it's as good as the other Culture novels, which are all I've read by Banks. On my shelves, I still have the three non-Culture SF to read: Feersum Endjinn, Against a Dark Background, and The Algebraist.

well, obviously I can't comment, since I'm only halfway through and I'll be reviewing it after the embargo in February, and it would be quite improper to say anything about it.
It's fucking brilliant so far, though.
"It's fucking brilliant" - I'd like to see that on the cover of the paperback!
